  • Take a chopping board and chop coriander leaves. In a strainer, add poha and rinse under running water to remove dust particles. Transfer pressed rice to a large bowl and mix in turmeric powder, asafoetida, lemon juice, curry leaves and salt. Add 3 cups of water and soak it for 30 mins.

  • Step 2

    Meanwhile, in a deep shallow pan, heat oil. Add green chilies, mustard seeds, red chilies, chana dal and urad dal.

  • Step 3

    Saute until seeds start to splutter. Add soaked poha to the pan and saute to coat with the tempering. Cover the pan and cook it for 4-5 minutes. Transfer to serving plates and garnish it with coriander leaves.
